Jesu Tower

The east Jesu Tower portal depicts at its summit the suffering Christ, then his glorious Resurrection, Transfiguration, and Ascension. The theme of sorrow and consolation will be continued on the other tower.

The right door shows scenes from the life of St. Anthony, the left scenes of brother-and-sister Saints Benedict and Scholastica. An inscription reads, "Archbishop Boland brought this to completion in 1954," the year the completed cathedral was dedicated.
